Maths - How We Do It!
We firmly believe in the constructivist theory that promotes pupils as being in control of their learning. We strive to encourage independence of thought and learning style. This is achieved through providing pupils with access to a broad range of resources within each classroom.
Some mathematical resources are held in a central store, but some are stored in classes so that pupils can use them whenever they wish. Each classroom is equipped with: counting equipment, number lines, shapes, problem solving materials, money, mirrors and numerous other resources.
Pupils are encouraged to be independent in their selections and to make use of a wide variety of learning and real life related objects and tools.
