Relationships & Health Education
As a part of your child’s education at Booker Hill School, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. PSHE education is the curriculum subject that gives young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives and meet their full potential.
As a maintained school, from September 2020, we also have an obligation to teach children in Year 1 and above about aspects of Relationships and Health Education (RHE) and we would like to give parents and carers the opportunity to share their views on the proposed new Booker Hill PSHE and RHE curriculum.
We wanted to give you, our parent body, the correct information about the changes that are coming and the chance to view, not only the legislation, but also the award-winning resource we have chosen to support your children’s learning within these key areas.
If you would like to know more about what your child will be learning you can find it by following this link:

To ensure your children get the very best teaching in these areas we have chosen to use an award-winning resource – 1decision. The 1decision resources have been developed over the past seven years and each module has been created by PSHE and Safeguarding experts together with schools, and most importantly children.
